Pink Festival Disco Theme Wedding At Hadsham Farm
Photography by Mark Horton PhotosNow this is a couple with taste! Anoushka & Matt wanted a celebration of music, fun and pink so decided on a 'festival-disco-glam' theme. After their slightly retro-inspired (and very pink) Vegas elopement, the couple wanted to keep some of this theme in their UK wedding, especially since they had originally met at Reading Festival in 2017! It just makes sense! Anoushka's family have mixed Christian backgrounds and Matt's family have Jewish heritage but the couple wanted a day which was free from religion and focused on celebrating them and their love instead!
As the wedding was the weekend of summer solstice, Anoushka & Matt were blessed with lots of sunlight! During the sunset, the couple poured a champagne tower and then got some amazing pictures taken by the lovely Recommended Supplier, Mark Horton Photos, in the fields of our Recommended Venue, Hadsham Farm, with the sunset in a little rowing boat decked out in disco balls and flowers. For their wedding video, the couple decided to choose Recommended Supplier, Electric Reel, to film the day! The couple also chose Recommended Supplier, Prezola, for their wedding gift list.

A fave moment from the day was our flower/beer boys who created a diversion while the bridal party walked around the field to the ceremony. Two of Anoushka's American housemates from her time studying at UCSB strutted down to the ceremony arch to September by Earth Wind and Fire (the song references the 21st of September which was when we got engaged!) throwing flower petals and handing out beers, seltzers and cocktails to guests. They did a few leapfrogs, rolly pollies and other crowd-pleasers to get the vibes going and give the girls time to walk around the field without everyone watching.

Festival Wedding at Hadsham Farm
Anouska & Matt met at Reading Festival in 2017, so they knew they wanted to evoke a festival vibe at their wedding. After an intimate legal ceremony in Vegas with around 35 friends and family, the couple wanted their UK wedding to be a massive party with all the people they love without any of the bits they usually dread at weddings (cold dry chicken, long ceremonies, awkward first dances and midnight finishes!) Instead, Anoushka & Matt had a close friend officiate with a bespoke and personal ceremony which they kept short and sweet, so they could get onto the live music and open bar! Knowing they didn't want the classic midnight finish, the couple had a three-channel silent disco from 12 am to 3 am to keep the party going. To avoid the traditional flower crown boho vibe of a festival wedding, Anoushka & Matt elevated their day with a black tie dress code for guests.
Record Player & Disco Ball Decor
On the day, Anoushka & Matt had over 50 large disco balls with hundreds of mini ones too. This task was an 18-month process of buying and collecting disco balls from all over the UK to complete their festival disco wedding theme. Alongside this, the couple worked with their incredible wedding planner and suppliers to bring to life the half and half moongate altar backdrop and a record player seating chart! With the help of their wedding planner, the seating plan was complete with a record player playing Fleetwood Mac, one of the couple’s fave bands (we already knew this couple had taste from all the pink, but now we can confirm for sure)! Anoushka’s aunt also made 200 cupcakes with the wedding logo and mini disco balls (of course) to go alongside the epic three-tier wedding cake she also made for the couple’s special day.
Weekend Wedding
Having guests glamping on site for the weekend meant Anoushka & Matt could host a pizza party the day before, which was a great chance for the guests to meet each other. The couple also had a pamper tent on site for everyone to get ready together in the morning, so by the time dinner rolled around, everyone was the best of friends! It was really important to Anoushka & Matt to avoid producing as much of the waste associated with weddings, especially with the wedding lasting for a whole weekend. The couple sourced many of the props and decor secondhand, including making place settings from old vinyl records that were being thrown out, which doubled as favours and still play perfectly, according to the guests! Their vision came together perfectly thanks to all the expert suppliers involved in creating this day.

Once you've got a venue and catering you're halfway there! We found one of the hardest (and longest) parts of wedding planning to be finding a venue we loved that was also free on the date we wanted that aligned with the food supplier we wanted (location and date wise). Also, make sure you have a plan for clearing up the next day! Our wedding was more DIY than other weddings can be, but there will always be jobs to do the next day so it's good to have a plan for who can help with what.
